Description
This is a terrace of four houses located on St Chad's Terrace in Shrewsbury, built around 1800. The houses are constructed of brick and topped with a Welsh slate roof. They stand three storeys high and feature an eight-window range. Each house has a six-panelled door with a fanlight above, set within a pedimented case, and there is a central round-arched entrance that leads to a passage. The windows are 12-pane sash types with flat-arched brick heads, although some of the first-floor windows are blind. The terrace is adorned with a dentilled eaves cornice, axial stacks, and coped gables. Houses 1 to 3 were built as a single phase, while house 4 was added slightly later.
