Description
The building is a barn and cowhouse located about 30 meters north of Kemberton House, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The barn features a timber frame with square panelling and red brick infilling, which was rebuilt in red brick and sandstone with air vents on the north side during the mid-19th century. It has a plain tiled roof and consists of five bays, with a wide entrance in the second bay from the west. The roof is supported by a queen post structure. The cowhouse is attached to the north-west end of the barn and is constructed from sandstone blocks, also with a plain tiled roof, and consists of two bays with a king post roof. Additionally, there is a 19th-century red brick stable positioned at right angles to the south-west of the cowhouse, and at the south-east end of the barn, there is a 17th-century timber-framed barn with crow-stepped gables that has been converted into a house.
