Lodge. C17 with C18 alterations. Brick; sandstone rubble; plain tile roof with gable to drive; brick corner stack to right. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; single-window range: probable Venetian window, now blocked, in quoined ashlar case with keyblock; C19 lattice-glazed metal casement; brick panel in circular ashlar architrave with keyblocks to central stone-tile coped gable. C19 metal lattice-glazed light in brick-blocked former entrance, with quoined ashlar case with keyblock; brick pilasters to first floor. Left returned side: rubble; C19, 2-light lattice-glazed metal casement over similar 3-light casement; stone segmental arches; C20 porch to left, covering painted rendered doorcase with cambered head; stone-tile coped parapet. Right returned side: rubble; square recess to first floor; stone-tile coped parapet. Rear: C20 brick extension behind rubble screen wall, under stone-tile coped central gable. INTERIOR: convex chamfered spine beams; dog-leg staircase with splat balusters. Believed to have been built as a dovecote.
