Description
Lower House Farmhouse and the attached range is an 18th-century farmhouse constructed from sandstone rubble with a plain tile roof and brick ridge and end stacks. The building is two storeys high and features a three-window range with 19th-century mullion and transom casements. The entrance is located to the centre right and consists of a part-glazed six-panel door beneath a simple 20th-century open porch. To the right of the entrance is one similar casement, and to the left are two more.
To the right, there is an advanced range with a stone-coped gable facing the road, which is likely a barn. The gable is inscribed with "F.M.M. 1751". This section is built of rubble and covered with plain tiles, featuring a three-window range that includes an 18th or 19th-century three-light casement and two 20th-century altered lights. There is also an opening with a door and a shuttered opening beneath a single brick segmental arch, along with a stone culvert. At the rear, there is a central gable wing, and the attached barns are listed separately. The interior has not been inspected.
