6/18 Obelisk Milestone approximately 26/5/55 10 metres to East of the Bell Inn (formerly listed as Butter Cross, Tong Norton).

GV II

Obelisk milestone. Reputedly a mediaeval wayside cross base surmounted by C18 obelisk. Sandstone. Square base with 2 steps, and tapered square obelisk above. Inscribed; to East; "Brewood/6/Lichfield/21" to South: "Albrighton/10/LONDON/134" to West; "Shifnal/3/Salop/21" to North; "Newport/ 8/Chester/49".
