Description

This is a terrace of three early 19th-century houses located on St Austin’s Street and Claremont Bank in Shrewsbury. The buildings are constructed of brick with a roof of graded Welsh slate. They are arranged over three storeys and feature a four-window facade built on a sharp convex curve. Number 8 has a central six-panelled door, set within a moulded architrave, flanked by twelve-pane sash windows. Each window has a flat-arched gauged brick head, with nine panes to the attic storey. Numbers 9 and 10 Claremont Bank have paired doors within single architraves, similarly flanked by twelve-pane sash windows with flat-arched gauged brick heads and nine panes to the attic storey. Gable and axial stacks are present. A minor amendment to this listing was made on 5 October 2017.
