Description
St Chad's Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building is two stories high with an attic dormer and has a two-window range, which includes one 12-pane sash window and a horizontal sliding sash window, both with single-ring cambered heads. There is a blocked window on the ground floor. The first floor and the attic storey in the gable wall and rear side wall stack also have horizontal sliding sash windows. To the left, there is a single-storey extension that contains a doorway accessed by steps. This extension connects to an earlier block that has a hipped roof and a single horizontal sliding sash window.
