Description
The Lodge to The Quarry is a gate lodge built around 1889. It features Ruabon red brick on the ground floor, with timber-framing above, and has a hipped plain tiled roof adorned with ridge cresting and finials. The building exhibits a picturesque asymmetry and is two stories high with a two-window range. On the ground floor, there is a canted bay window with two-light mullioned and transomed windows to the left, and a gabled porch to the right that has a herringbone panelled door with sidelights. The porch roof is topped with a swan finial. The street-facing side has two parallel gables and a three-window range consisting of two- and four-light casements. There are rear wall stacks present as well.
