Description

The Dodson memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 7 metres to the east of the chancel of the Church of St Peter in Cound. It dates from 1831 and is made of yellow and grey sandstone ashlar. The tomb features a moulded plinth, raised and fielded side panels with flanking reeded pilasters, raised and fielded end panels, and a moulded cornice on the chamfered top. It commemorates John Dodson, who was late of Cound and died on 21 February 1831.
