Description
This is a urinal located approximately 17 metres to the north-west of The Cobblestones, likely dating from the late 19th century. It features painted cast iron panels and consists of two stalls with returns and a central divider. The design includes circular corner shafts and panels adorned with pierced geometrical patterns, along with a moulded top rail that has cresting and a central dog 'gargoyle' at the front. Each panel is inscribed with the message: "PLEASE ADJUST YOUR DRESS / BEFORE LEAVING." The cast iron maker's plate was illegible during the survey conducted in July 1985. The urinal is positioned behind two short sandstone rubble walls that flank the narrow entrance.
