Description
No. 13 Mardol Head is a shop with an early 19th-century facade that covers an early 18th-century building. The exterior features stucco over brick and has a plain tiled roof behind a parapet. The building stands three storeys high and has a two-window range facing Mardol Head. The shop front has been inserted and extends across No. 12. The upper windows are 12-pane sashes set in moulded architraves, with pediments above the first-floor windows. There is a moulded architrave and a projecting cornice above. The side passage has a four-window return elevation, with the ground floor rusticated in stucco and a heavy moulded cornice above. A plain string course runs below the second-floor windows. At the rear, there is a tall stepped gable made of exposed red brick.
