(Formerly listed as Cow houses approximately 90 metres to north west of Harnage Grange, COUND C.P.)
GV II Cow houses. Mid to late C19. Red brick on high coursed sandstone rubble plinth and roughly dressed grey sandstone with brick dressings; plain tile roofs. L-plan forming one and a half sides of a square foldyard. One storey and loft.
East front: two gabled eaves loft dormers to right; narrow vents to loft beneath eaves. Alternating ground floor segmental-headed two-leaf boarded doors and segmental-headed wooden casements.
South front: boarded loft door beneath eaves to right; alternating segmental-headed two-leaf boarded doors and segmental-headed wooden casements to left; right-hand part with pair of large boarded doors, small segmental-headed boarded opening, and segmental-headed boarded door with bull-nose reveals, both doors with stone hinge blocks.
A large C17 barn (q.v.) adjoins to the east of these buildings which form part of a large farm complex around two square foldyards to the north west of Harnage Grange (q.v.). Included for group value.
