Description

This is a farmyard wall dating from the 18th or 19th century, although it may incorporate earlier, possibly medieval, materials. The wall runs for approximately 65 metres and stands about 1.4 metres high, topped with a ridged capping. It is constructed of very large, roughly shaped stones, some of which retain traces of original moulding. The wall is located about 25 metres east of Cosford Grange Farmhouse, and there is slight evidence to suggest that Cosford Grange may have monastic origins.
