Description

Cosford Grange Lodge and the quadrant walls to its drive date from the early to mid-19th century. Constructed of sandstone ashlar with low-pitched slate roofs, the lodge is designed in a Loudonesque style. It is a single-storey building with a plinth and cill band, comprising four bays, plus a projecting porch bay on the left. The porch features a round-arched entrance and a round-headed inner doorway. Single-hung sash windows are present throughout. A trelliswork extension runs along Holyhead Road. There is an additional bay to the left of the lodge, set back slightly. A brick chimney is centrally located. Low detached quadrant walls, also in ashlar, mark the entrance to the drive.
