Description

Rookery Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse that has undergone some changes in the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with an ashlar plinth and features an old tile roof. The building is designed in an L-shape and has two storeys with gable-lit attics. Notable architectural details include a first-floor and eaves plat band, a toothed brick eaves cornice, parapeted gable ends, end stacks, and two stacks at the rear. The facade consists of three bays with glazing-bar sash windows that have rendered architraves. To the left, there is a mid-19th-century canted bay window on the ground floor, and to the right, a small window from the 20th century has been inserted on the first floor. The central entrance features a six-panelled door, where the lower two panels are flush, along with panelled reveals and a four-light overlight. The doorcase is adorned with panelled pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice.
