Description

The garden wall, located approximately 25 meters east of Preen Manor, was constructed around 1870 by the architect Richard Norman Shaw. It is made of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a gabled stone capping. The wall is about 25 meters long and has a stepped design leading to a pointed double-chamfered gateway, which includes the original heavy panelled door. Preen Manor, also built around 1870-1871 by Norman Shaw for Arthur Sparrow, has been largely demolished and rebuilt, and is not included in this listing.
