Description

The garden wall at Shaw House, dating from the 18th or 19th century, is located east of Shaw House. It is constructed of sarsen stone and topped with thatched copings. The wall encloses an area approximately 38 meters by 45 meters, situated to the east of the house and south of the farmyard. On the south side of the enclosure, there is a half-round gazebo, which is lined internally with uncut flints and features a thatched roof. Additionally, the west wall contains a reset medieval trefoil-headed window made of limestone, likely originating from the chapel of the nearby deserted village of Shaw.
