Description

This sundial, located approximately 20 metres south of Longner Hall, dates from around 1803-1804 and may be associated with the work of John Nash or Humphry Repton. It is made of grey sandstone and features a twisted, fluted baluster stem with a moulded base. The top is octagonal and has a copper dial plate and gnomon. Humphry Repton landscaped the grounds at Longner during the same period, and his Red Book is kept in the house.
