Description
Evelith Manor Lodge and the adjoining gatepiers were built in the mid-19th century. The lodge is rendered with painted ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof. It is a single-storey structure with chamfered equal-width quoins, a frieze, and a large central ridge stack with a cornice. The lodge has three bays, including two 2-light stone mullioned windows with heavy surrounds and a central 6-panelled door. The door has the top two panels glazed, a plain architrave, and is set within a porch supported by Tuscan columns and pilasters, which also holds up a frieze and hipped tile roof.
The gatepiers are flanked by low stone walls that are rock-faced, squared, and coursed. The square ashlar piers feature arched panels, a cornice, stone imitation Roman tiled copings, and globe finials.
