Description
Asterley Methodist Chapel is a Primitive Methodist chapel built in 1834, as indicated by the datestone above the door. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a plain tile roof with a dentilled eaves cornice. It has two bays and is adorned with round-headed windows that have multi-paned cast-iron tracery. The front side includes two windows and a late 20th-century rendered lean-to porch that covers the original boarded door, which has a plain semi-circular fanlight above it. The simple interior retains its open benches. Additionally, spear-shaped railings with urn-capped standards enclose a small courtyard at the front of the chapel.
