GV II Cottage, latterly divided, now returned to one dwelling. Early C17 with later additions and alterations. Timber framed with rendered and painted brick infill, weatherboarded to left gable end and rendered to right; reed thatch roof.

Two-cell baffle-entry plan with later C17 addition to left. One storey and gable-lit attic. Framing: large square and rectangular panels, two from cill to wall-plate. C20 casement to left and C19 casement to right of roughly central boarded door (part-glazed to top) under open lean-to porch carried down from roof. Large axial rubblestone ridge stack immediately to left has dripstone and capping. Infilled doorway immediately to right of left casement. Single-storey timber framed addition to left has hipped thatch roof and C19 casement to front.

Interior: timber frame substantially intact including to cross wall and back wall (square panels). Large stone stack with inglenook fireplaces and bread ovens on each side. Chamfered ceiling beams to ground-floor and stone winder staircase behind stack. First floor has central collar and tie beam truss with exposed wattle and daub infill to left of stack. Wide boarded oak floor boards. Door at bottom of staircase made up from C17 rectangular oak panelling, said to have been brought from elsewhere.
