Description
This former farmhouse, now used as an agricultural store, is located approximately 15 metres to the northeast of Squire Farmhouse. It dates from the early 17th century and was partly rebuilt with the eaves raised in the mid-to-late 19th century. The structure is timber framed with wattle and daub and red brick infill panels, resting on a coursed limestone rubble plinth. The southern side was rebuilt in coursed and roughly squared limestone and features a slate roof. The building consists of three framed bays aligned east-west and has a large coursed limestone rubble integral end stack on the west side.
It stands two storeys high, with the south front displaying square panels and three windows. The windows are 2-light 19th-century wooden casements with segmental heads on the ground floor. There is a boarded door situated between the first and second windows from the left, and the gable end to the east reveals an exposed truss. Inside, the structure features collar and tie-beam trusses with queen struts and V-struts, along with timber framed square-panelled cross-walls. Squire Farmhouse is not included in this listing.
