Description

This milestone, located 27 metres south-west of The Malt House on Ludlow Road in Church Stretton, dates from the late 18th century. It is made of painted ashlar and features a rectangular slab that is set vertically with a rounded top. The inscription on the milestone reads: "LUDLOW XIV MILES."
