Description
This is a milestone dating from the late 18th century, made of painted ashlar. It is a vertically set slab with a rounded top. The inscription on the milestone reads: LUDLOW / CROSS / XII / MILES. It was reset on the side of the A49 following the re-alignment of this road around 1980.
