Description
The Willinson memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 4 meters east of the chancel of the Church of St Mary and St Andrew. It dates from around 1800 and is made of sandstone. The tomb is rectangular in shape and features a moulded plinth and capping, along with square corner pilasters. There are raised oval inscription panels on the north and south sides, the latter commemorating Joseph Willinson, who died in the 18th century. At the time of the last survey in 1985, the tomb was covered with ivy. This memorial is included for its group value with the church.
