Description

Marine Terrace is a terrace of seven houses dating from the early 19th century, located in Shrewsbury. The terrace was constructed in several phases, featuring a convex curved section to the north, containing two dwellings. These have doorways flanked by sash windows with wide splayed brick heads on each floor, and two dormers above. A further block of two houses connects to the south, with 20th-century porches sheltering the doorways, and 16-pane sash windows on each floor. A later block of three dwellings was added to the south, set lower than the preceding sections, with doorways on the left side and 16-pane sash windows on each floor, all with flat-arched brick heads; dormer windows are present in the attic. The buildings have end wall stacks, and the roof is covered with Welsh slate, some of which has been renewed with concrete tiles.
