Description
Severn Court is a terrace of seven houses built in the early 19th century. The houses are constructed with brick facing a stone plinth and have a Welsh slate roof. The building has three storeys and a 13-window front facing the river. A concave curved bay is incorporated into the right-hand house (No. 7) to accommodate an external staircase leading from Wyle Cop to the river bank; to the left of this bay is a narrower section. The basement windows are cast-iron, with some being blind. The upper floors feature 12-pane sash windows with flat-arched stuccoed surrounds. Access to the houses is through a courtyard, with entrances provided by a series of extensions. The property was formerly known as Court 3 and English Bridge Court.
