Description
43 and 44 Wyle Cop is a pair of shops that may have originally been built in the 18th century but were refaced around 1920. The buildings are made of brick with stone dressings and have a plain tiled roof. They rise three stories and feature a three-window range. The ground floor has rusticated stuccoed piers on either side of the shop front, which includes recessed central doors set at angles. The upper floors have 12-pane sash windows with flat-arched brick heads that have stone keys. The central window on the first floor is pedimented, while the second floor features a stressed architrave. Additionally, the buildings have stone angle quoins, sill bands, and a cornice.
