Description

This is a headstone commemorating Mrs. Watters, located 2 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary in Ashford Carbonell. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of sandstone ashlar. The headstone is a simple rectangular slab set vertically, featuring an inscribed face and a carved head. It honors Mrs. Watters, the wife of William Watters, who passed away in 1747.
