Description
This is a barn dating from the late 18th century, located approximately 60 meters east of Atcham Grange. The barn is constructed of red brick, which is partly painted, and features a tiled roof. It consists of 10 bays and has waggon entrances located in the third and eighth bays. The exterior includes round-arched blind arcading with imposts and lozenge-shaped vents, as well as a dentil brick eaves cornice and verge parapets. The waggon entries are fitted with pairs of large segmental-headed boarded doors, and there are smaller segmental-headed boarded doorways between them, some of which are blocked. The south gable end has a 2-bay design with a loft opening at the apex. Inside, the roof is supported by two pairs of purlins and features tie-beam trusses with raking queen struts.
