Description
This barn, located approximately 5 metres to the left of Bromaking Grange, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a machine-tile roof. The front has a central waggon door made of wood, with a wooden lintel and a brick segmental relieving arch above it. There is a diamond pattern of ventilation holes above the door. On either side of the door, there are full-length brick pilasters. To the left, there is another pilaster with additional diamonds of ventilation holes in between, while to the right, there are two more pilasters, one of which has a bay with ventilation holes and a 20th-century window. The next bay contains a board door with a segmental relieving arch, and the far right bay has another 20th-century window. The end pilasters feature stepped eaves and brick coping. At the rear, there is a larger waggon door similar to the one at the front. Inside, there is a central cobbled threshing floor, and the right-hand side has been converted into a cow house. The left-hand gable includes a dovecote.
