Description
70 and 71 High Street are a pair of early to mid-19th century terraced houses located in Albrighton. The houses are constructed of red brick, with number 71 having a rendered facade. They have slate roofs and brick ridge stacks. The houses are two storeys high, with a dentilled brick eaves cornice. Number 70 has two bays, while number 71 has three bays. The first floor features glazing bar sash windows, and the ground floor has later angled bays with casements to number 71, demarcated by broad pier strips. Number 70 has a central, pedimented Tuscan doorcase and a four-panel door with a rectangular overlight. Number 71 has an arched doorway on the left, with a 20th-century door. There are mid-19th century cast iron railings to the front. Number 71 is included on the list principally for group value.
