Description

This is a house, now used as a flat above a tea shop. It dates from the early 19th century, although it incorporates an earlier structure, possibly from the 17th century. The front of the building is constructed of red brick with a brick plinth, a decorative dentil brick course at the eaves, and horizontal bands marking the storeys. The roof is covered in plain tiles with brick-coped gables. A brick chimney stack is located at the rear. The building has a rectangular front range running parallel to the street.

The exterior presents two storeys and an attic. The front has two windows on each upper floor, each featuring two-light casement windows with a curved brick lintel. The ground floor has 20th-century 3/3 sash windows which either side a central door. The door is six-panelled, with glazing, and is also topped with a curved brick lintel. There are two tiled dormers in the roof.

The ground floor interior features chamfered lateral bridging beams with faceted chamfer stops.
