5/13 No.2 and adjoining smithy -

GV II

House and smithy. Mid-C19. Red brick with plain tile roof. 2 storeys and gable-lit attic. Plinth, plat band, dentil brick eaves cornice and stack to rear at left with 2 diagonal brick shafts. 2-window front; first-floor late C19 wooden cross casements and ground-floor glazing bar sashes, both with chamfered reveals and segmental gauged heads; central 4 flush-panelled door with chamfered reveals and 3-part segmental-headed overlight. One-storey smithy adjoining to left: dentil brick eaves cornice and verge; integral brick end stack to left and brick stack to rear. 3-light window to left with chamfered reveals and segmental head; 2-leaf boarded door to right with chamfered reveals and segmental head. Interior of smithy: 2 brick hearths, that to rear retains large leather bellows and that to left retains cast iron ash-cover on outside wall; tool racks, benches and wooden blocks. Tie-beam roof truss with raking queen struts.
