Description
The terrace retaining walls and steps adjoining Loton Park to the northwest were built in 1850. They are made of red sandstone, dressed and ashlar. The rectangular terrace features steps arranged in two separate flights of five and six to the northeast. The steps have a chamfered plinth and chamfered coping, which ramps up to square piers topped with urns. The date is inscribed on one of the corner piers. This structure is included for its group value.
