Description

The Wheatsheaf Public House is a public house that may have originally been built in the 16th century, with a later facade added. It features a timber-framed structure that has been refronted in render over brick, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building is two stories high and has a three-window range. The ground floor has bow windows, while the upper floor has casement windows, all of which are late 20th-century insertions. However, the original structure is still visible in the side wall, showcasing square panelled framing and a queen strut roof. The rear wing is also timber-framed in square panels, with some arch bracing, and there is a tall axial stack.
