Description

This is a pair of early 19th-century houses, with one now used as a shop, possibly built on the site of an earlier structure. The houses are constructed of painted brick with a plain tiled roof. They are two storeys high with a four-window facade, each house being a one-and-a-half unit plan. Each house has a doorcase with a moulded architrave. There are narrow outer bays on each side, the left-hand bay containing a small blocked window with a single ring cambered head and a small inserted window. The central part of the elevation has two windows; a three-light casement window on No.4 and an inserted shop window on No.3. The upper floor has renewed casement windows: a single-light window above each doorway and two-light windows centrally. A dentilled eaves band runs along the top of the building.
