Description

A house and shop dating to around 1800, although it may incorporate elements from an earlier 16th-century structure. The building is constructed of brick with a plain tiled roof. It is three storeys high, with a three-window facade. Two door openings are centrally placed within plain architraves, and there is an early 4-pane shop window to the left. A 12-pane sash window is situated to the right. The upper windows are also 12-pane sashes with flat-arched, gauged brick heads, with the central window spaces being blind. The building has parapet eaves and coped stepped gables. A rear wall stack is visible. The interior is believed to contain remnants of a possible 16th-century core, including a large open fireplace.
