Description

1 and 2 New Street are a pair of houses built in 1844. They are constructed of brick and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The buildings rise three storeys and feature a two-window range. Each house has an outer six-panelled door with a fanlight set in an architrave, alongside sash windows that have 12 and 16 panes, all with flat-arched gauged brick heads. The upper windows also consist of 12-pane sashes, with two panes on the third storey. Between the upper windows, there is a shield displaying the date and the initials JD.
