Description

Nos 28 and 29 East Castle Street represent an early 19th-century remodelling of an earlier house. The building is two storeys and an attic, with four modern sash windows. A sill band runs along the facade, and the corners feature angle quoins. Two simple doorcases provide entrances. Four gabled dormers are visible in the roof, each with brick cheeks, and the roof is covered primarily with old tiles. The building is included on the list for its group value alongside Nos 18 to 33 (consecutive).
