Description

Nos 2 and 3 on East Castle Street are 18th-century buildings located on the curve of the street. They are constructed of painted brick and consist of two storeys. The façade features an early 19th-century three-light sash window with a plain cornice supported by consoles, which is mirrored below, along with a small casement window. There is an early 19th-century moulded wood doorcase with a cornice hood on consoles and dentilled eaves. A square-headed covered way is situated on the right-hand side. These buildings are included for their group value with Nos 1 to 5 and the Shakespeare Hotel on West Castle Street.
