Description
The Shakespeare Hotel is an early 19th-century building located on the east side of West Castle Street in Bridgnorth. It is constructed of painted brick and stands two storeys tall, featuring five casement windows. The entrance is marked by a moulded wood doorcase topped with a cornice hood. The left-hand side of the building has a plain gable, and the roof is covered with a mix of old and new tiles. The returned side facing East Castle Street includes both sash and casement windows, with the lower windows having glazing bars. This side also features a moulded wood pilaster doorcase with a small cornice hood. The Shakespeare Hotel is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 5 East Castle Street.
