Description
This granary and cartshed, located about 60 yards south-east of Llandinabo Farmhouse, is likely from the 18th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with weatherboarded gables and has a roof made of stone slate and asbestos slate. The building features four bays arranged in a north-east to south-west orientation and is two storeys high.
On the north-west elevation, there are stone tallet steps leading to a studded door, with a 2-light barred window on either side. The south-west gable has a full-width opening to the cartshed, which is fitted with mid-20th century sliding doors. Inside, the structure has raking strut trusses, and the gable trusses include collars supported by three posts from the tie-beams. The three inner tie-beams are halved and bolted to the principals.
This building encloses the churchyard of St Junabius and is part of a group that includes the Church of St Junabius, as well as a nearby barn, stable, and dovecot, which adds to its historical significance.
