Description

This building is a granary and cart shed dating from the 18th century, located about 10 metres north-east of Stonehouse Farmhouse. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features a timber frame with brick infill, partially covered in weatherboarding, and has a machine tile roof. The structure consists of two framed bays that are aligned east to west. The east bay is blind to the farmyard on the south side, while the west bay includes three openings at the ground floor for the cart shed. Above this, the granary is accessed by steps on the west gable. The framing of the granary includes one square panel at the front, supported by straight braces.
