Description

Lower Withers is a farmhouse built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of brick with a sandstone rubble plinth and features a hipped Welsh slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan and is three storeys high, with end stacks and a dentilled eaves cornice. There are three glazing bar sash windows: an 8-pane window on the second floor and 16-pane windows on the ground and first floors. The central entrance has a simple lean-to porch, a semi-circular headed recessed doorway with panelled reveals, a decorative fanlight, and a six-panelled door.
