Description

This barn, located about 15 yards southeast of Colwall Mill Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century or early 18th century. It features a timber-framed structure with regular square brick infill panels, some of which have decorative vent patterns, and a continuous tiled roof. The barn consists of four bays, with opposed entrances in the second bay from the left. The two right-hand bays have a brick front extension that is three panels high and covered by a catslide roof. Inside, there is a threshing floor in the left-hand bay, and a full-height timber-framed and wattle partition separates the third and fourth bays, supported by raking posts from the tie-beams.
