Service Block Approximately 6 Metres North Of Bernithan Court

The service block, located approximately 6 meters north of Bernithan Court, is a detached structure associated with a large house, dating from the 17th century and altered since. It is built of painted brick and features a tiled hipped roof. The building has a rectangular plan with a central through-passage and stands two storeys tall. The windows have been replaced with 20th-century metal casements, and there are two on the north-east return that show traces of a hoodmould from former windows on the ground floor. Inside, the north room has exposed chamfered ceiling beams. The service block is connected to Bernithan Court by a 12-foot wall at both the north-west and south-east ends, creating a small yard that can be accessed through segmental-headed doorways.
