Description
This is a barn located about 5 metres north of the Old Vicarage, originally built in the 17th century and later used as a public hall, but it is now disused. The barn features a timber-frame construction with painted brick infill and partial weatherboarding, all resting on a coursed rubble plinth beneath a pantile roof. It consists of five framed bays that are aligned in a north-west to south-east direction.
The north-west front includes three casement windows and an entrance to the right of centre, which features a 19th-century ledged and boarded door set within a wooden architrave. The central bay was originally the threshing floor, but the doorway has since been blocked with rendered brickwork and planted framing. The framing consists of three square panels high with short angle braces, and the gable-end trusses are constructed with four struts to the collar and V-struts in the apex.
