Description
This is a barn located approximately 30 meters north-east of Upper Penalt, dating from the 18th century and altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with a later brick gable end on the south side and features a slate roof. The barn consists of five bays and has a central projecting gabled porch on the west side, which is flanked by two rows of vents that are now partially blocked and obscured by minor later additions. The structure includes inclined strut trusses. The barn is prominently positioned beside the road, facing the stables and is close to another barn located to the south-west of Lower Penalt. Upper Penalt itself is not included in this listing.
