Description

This structure is a cross located about 10 yards south of Wilton Court, possibly dating from the 14th century. It is made of sandstone rubble and ashlar. The cross features a deep rubble plinth and a finely cut base with chamfered corners that transition from a square to an octagon. The shaft is truncated, octagonal, and approximately six feet high, with pyramidal stops at the junction with the base. The cross is likely associated with a nearby ford across the River Wye.
